Hello and welcome to the Barnard community!
The Residential Life staff plays an integral role in the daily lives of our students. Our team is made up of highly skilled professional staff including Community Directors and Residence Hall Coordinators. Students who live in residence halls also have Resident Assistants who work closely to encourage and support our students.
Our staff members and campus partners work incredibly hard to provide the best services and programs for our students. We strive to create a positive environment to support community development for our students while allowing each individual to pursue their own personal and academic goals. We work intentionally to help our students achieve success and develop important interpersonal and leadership skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
Non-Residential Student Support
Non-Residential Student Support is a campus-wide effort to provide support services and resources to all enrolled students, on and off campus. Non-Residential Student Support is intended to create a meaningful experience for non-residential students via collaborative partnerships at Barnard and within the neighboring communities. Our department is committed to the retention, success and continuous engagement of non-residential students from orientation through commencement. Support for non-residential students aims to establish and maintain a sense of community, connection and resource sharing as students navigate off-campus housing while enrolled at Barnard College.
